Dogs Across Australia’s new map-based search is now available.
If you are serching for a lost pet, please use the ‘Browse by State’ or ‘Map Search’ to locate your nearest Dog Pound.
Be proactive and look on the pound website daily. Councils maintain unregistered dogs for up to 7 days or 14 days if microchipped.
Surrendered dogs can be killed at any time as councils are not obliged to find new homes for surrendered dogs. However, some pounds are keen to help and make surrenders available for immediate adoption or release them to rescue shelters.
