Meet the Artists

Janet Ayliffe has been a printmaker and painter for over twenty-five years. Janet was born on Kangaroo Island but now lives in Kangarilla, in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. She has also illustrated for Penguin-Omnibus Books. Janet now paints on commission.

Christine Groh is a member of The Watercolour Society of Queensland [WSQ], the Artists' Guild of Australia and the Clifton Hill Art Group. Colour is Christine’s passion; she loves bold and bright colours.

Susan Borgas lives in a beautiful area of the Flinders Ranges of South Australia from which she finds inspiration to paint. Her paintings of gum trees are poignant reminders of the time of the great Hans Heysen. Susan will share photos, stories and even recipes on her website.

Wildlife artist, Wendy Jennings, has spent many years near Australia's diverse national Parks, and has developed an affinity for the wildlife and their habitats. She is an advocate for the preservation of the world's natural history and concentrates on endangered species.

Jacqui Cleijne, is a professional animal portrait artist. Her work is highly detailed and she specialises in wildlife painting and pet portraits.
Jacqui accept commissions worldwide.

Perry Snodgrass's paintings have a narrative theme and are very personal and are based on her home, family and life experiences. Perry paints still life, garden scenes, landscape, travel scenes and whimsical nuns!

Michael Ferris, from Cairns, finds inspiration from the beautiful tropical area in which he lives. His work features paintings of orchids, roses, still life studies and boats. Influenced by friend and author, ornithologist Peter Slater, Michael also paints native birds.

Noel Barnes lives in Argyle, Western Australia, a beautiful part of the world where wildlife abounds. Noel paints some of the wonderful flora and fauna of the region. His website also contains an Aviation gallery featuring Australian military aircraft.

Pat Campion's Bloomin Art gallery features many delightful garden flowers, especially frangipani. The flowers are so vivid you can almost smell them! Pat also runs a colour advisory service. Details are on her website.

Tania Heben's works contrast vivid local scenes of people still influenced by the colonial settlement period of the 1800's with the lush tropical vegetation of the Australian Rainforest and Jungle. Her use of brilliant colour is one of the most well known features of her work.

Margaret Lomas paints portraits on commission, her most recent being of a Long Tan veteran. Her love of yachts and the sea was fostered during eight years living aboard a small yacht . She therefore paints sailing boats, sea and shore scenes as well as old buildings and beautiful flowers.

Steven Cross paints vintage and classic vehicles, aircraft, scenes of yesteryear, homes and buildings. You can commission Steven to paint subjects that have a special significance to the recipient, such as a restored car or family home.

Catherin McMillan specialises in detailed hand drawn chalk pastel pet portraits and wildlife art. Her work can be commissioned worldwide. Catherin is a strong supporter of animal causes and is fundraising for one of the rescue shelters listed on this website.

Meet the Craft People

Carolyn Delzoppo's enamel jewellery uses the traditional technique of cloisonne enamel on metal. She has been exhibiting her cloisonne jewellery and miniature art works for two decades and has received many awards both in Australia and internationally.

Amanda Jo’s handcrafted jewellery is designed from a combination of sterling silver and beautiful gemstones, freshwater pearls, Swarovskicrystal or stunning Bali and Thai silver beads. Inspired by the colours of nature and a passion for her art, Amanda Jo creates each exquisite piece by hand.

Peter Wallace Pottery One of Peter's mentors was the late Pro Hart of Broken Hill, who showed him it was possible to making a living as an artist.. Peter not only produces pots, dishes and platters, but very functional and unique wash basins. His glazed work includes collectable tea pots, mugs and water filters.

Purple Dog Leadlighting & Mosaics is the creation of Debbie Balen. Leadlight designs, intricate work in copperfoil and mosaic pieces in both glass and tile are Debbie's forte. She also runs a Mosaic workshops in the Oakleigh area of Melbourne. Some of Debbie's opperfoil pieces are display at the Melbourne Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary and Botanical Gardens.

Ginny Retmock lives on Lord Howe Island and has discovered the pleasure of art. She has produced numerous works in a range of medium. Her beautiful island home is a constant and ever-changing source of inspiration. A printmaker, Ginny sells colourful cushions and other vibrant items.

Pet's Emporium is located in Hobart, Tasmania.The mission of Pet's Emporium is to provide enjoyable and healthy products for pets, which are reasonably priced and easily obtained.
