Help us get a vehicle!

Among many of the goals RADAR has is the dream to have a rescue vehicle. There is little to no transport for animals out in the Riverina district and a lot of animals miss out on getting to foster care or new homes because of this. RADAR members are working towards purchasing a reliable comercial van that is economical to run and able to be hygenically set up to carry animals from pounds to foster carers which are all spread over the area with the aid of voluntary drivers. We will need sponsorship and money to organize this. You can contact us to offer help and or find out more information on this. The sooner we can get this up and running the sooner we can help the animals and their carers.

    Fundraising

Our vibrant fundraising committee will always accept ideas and much needed help! They will hold events through the year that you can participate in and have heaps of fun along the way!

Why not join in!!

BITSA Breed Identification

BITSA Breed Identification

Fetch accurate health and behaviour info on your dog with BITSA - a non-invasive DNA test that retrieves your dog's true breed history!

BITSATM (Breed Identification Through Scientific Analysis) is a breed identification test that uses DNA analysis to provide an accurate history of your dog’s breed. It works by applying the latest DNA science to analyse hundreds of snippets of your dog’s DNA where dog breed information is found. These snippets are then cross-referenced against an extensive genetic database to provide a breed signature – or a series of breed signatures.

Breed Identification Made Easy

Safe and painless, the non-invasive cheek swab test is easy to complete and can be done in the comfort of your home. Simply rub the supplied cotton swabs on the inside of your dog’s cheek, place it in the sleeve provided and put the sample in the mail and your BITSA results will be sent back to you.

BITSA Benefits

  • Identifies the breeds that make up your dog
  • Offers insight into behaviour and personality
  • Uncovers potential health issues
  • Applies a simple, safe and non-invasive sampling method
  • Gives you the assurance of knowing who your dog really is
  • Enables you to form an even closer bond with your loved pet

Your Dog's Breed History Revealed

Your BITSA results will be presented to you in a detailed Dog Breed Specificity Report covering all of the key features which make up your dog’s breed, including:

A listing of the breeds detected, broken down into primary (parent), secondary (grandparent) and distant (great grandparent) and a comprehensive analysis of each breed highlighting: Historic profile, behavioural traits, physical characteristics, general health issues.

In addition to the Dog Breed Specificity Report, your pack will also include an official test results certificate and a BITSA doggy passport.

It is important to understand that BITSA can only detect breeds that are present in a dog's ancestry. Sometimes in a dog's ancestry either one or both parents can be termed 'outbred' (dogs with mixed breed parents and grandparents). In this case, distinct breed signatures are not present within a dog's DNA and this abscence prevents a primary or secondary breed from being determined in a heavily mixed breed dog.

Kits are available for $149.95 plus postage (GST inclusive) each and, by ordering via the email link below, all profits will go direct to CARA animals in need.

To order, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it your details including the number of kits you wish to purchase and we will get back to you with payment and delivery details as soon as possible.
