Comfortable, affordable and friendly, “Old Ambalindum” offers a true outback experience, with Self Catered Accommodation, Camping, and 4-Wheel drive Touring - A Relaxing Outback Retreat. Ambalindum Station, a working cattle station, situated approximately 135km North East of Alice Springs, is one of the original cattle stations settled in Central Australia. At well over 3,000 square kilometers, the station and its immediate surrounds feature some of the most spectacular scenery in Central Australia, and offers rare opportunities for the 4WD enthusiast.
The “Old Ambalindum” Homestead is the focal point of the tourism activities. A range of accommodation is available, from camping sites and van sites to the air conditioned comfort of the “Old Ambalindum” homestead itself.

Cottage on Tottenham is a stylish house featuring two luxurious queen size bedrooms and one twin bedded room. The fully equipped cottage kitchen is a delight and contains mostly new crockery and utensils. A delicious selection of food for self-catering breakfasts is part of the package.
The bathroom is charming and packed with soft fluffy towels and other goodies.
Baltic pine flooring and cupboards along with a cosy lounge with gas fired log heater as well as air conditioning makes Tottenham a comfortable residence in either summer, where it is conveniently placed for the beach or winter, when you will probably want to explore the Flinders Ranges.
There is closed-in undercover car parking with sensor lighting and the property is enclosed by a picket fence, which offers security for small to medium dogs that are not inclined to jump fences. Dogs are permitted by arrangement with the property owners. There is a good sized laundry area in which dogs are permitted and the garden is spacious and large enough for exercise and enjoyment.

Built in 1875, Clyde’s Cottage is a two bedroom freestone row cottage close to the city and minutes from Unley Road with its string of cafes and restaurants. It is fully self-contained with a modern kitchen, bathroom and washing machine and dryer. The living room is snug and comfortable while wooden floor boards are a feature of the hallway and lounge. The back yard is of a good size and is a secure place for pets.
The cottage is close to a frequent bus route.

Located in the SE corner of Adelaide City Harriett's Cottage, a worker's cottage dating back to turn of last century, is a great place to stay. The cottage has two comfortable bedrooms, a lounge and full equiped kitchen and laundry. This fully furnished cottage is suitable for both family, holiday and business stays.
Harriett's Cottage is located close to the heart of the city, south parklands, hospitals, Central Market and Hutt St precincts. It is a short walk to the city shops.
Dogs have access to a reasonable size backyard which opens onto a pedestrian-only laneway - a great little traffic-free place to go 'walkies'.

Set in the heart of the spectacular Barossa Valley, the Tanunda Caravan Park, with its expanse of green lawn and shady native trees, is a caravaners delight.
The owner-manager ensures that the well appointed showers, toilets and laundry facilities are kept immaculately clean. There is also a disabled and babies bathrooms.
Facilities include a brand new recreation hall that seats up to 130, modern BBQ facilities and plenty of room for children to play and dogs on leads to walk.

Wavedancer Cottage is a lovely stone fronted period cottage located in a very quiet street in the seaside suburb of Glenelg. It offers a stylishly modern master bedroom and second twin bedded room. Baltic pine floorboards feature throughout and the lounge is comfortable and private. There is a separate dining area and a large kitchen. As well as a slate bathroom, there is a separate toilet next to the laundry just outside the back door. The rear garden features an entertainment area.
Dogs are permitted by arrangement with the property owners. The back area is fenced off from the street and the lawn offers a play area for them to enjoy. The cottage is close to the Patawalonga Boat Haven, Glenelg centre and the beach.
DAA comment: A comfortable and very convenient place to stay.

Ceduna Foreshore Caravan Park welcomes travelers with neat, tidy parking bays and clean facilities. Located opposite the picturesque Murat Bay, it is adjacent to the Ceduna Foreshore Hotel, when meals can be enjoyed while watching the activities on the bay.
Ceduna is also home to the Oyster Festival which is held each October. Fresh oysters, crabs, crays and fish can be also purchased fresh from local wholesalers.
The park is walking distance to the supermarket, shops and banks.
DAA comment: Walking distance to Murat Bay, where the family can swim, play along the beach or stroll out on the jetty. Ceduna has many fantastic beaches and is dog friendly.

Located on a 35 ha properties outside of Clare are three self-contained forms of accommodation.
Glen Morris is a two bedroom mud brick cottage that has a truly old world feel about it, yet is comfortably furnished with a delightful setting overlooking big craggy old gum trees which line the creek immediately below.
Cathy’s Cottage has a heritage-style interior with one double bedroom, cosy living room with Mintaro slate floors, baltic pine dining table, pot-belly stove, separate bathroom and separate kitchen with full size gas oven and a secluded back patio with barbecue.
The largest dwelling on the 80-acre property, Bronte Manor offers peace, privacy and character accommodation in exquisite surroundings . Perched on high ground with 360 degree views of undulating hills and trees, Bronte Manor is Wuthering Heights’ newly renovated accommodation: a grand, yet rustic mud brick house exuding charm and character.
Breakfast provisions are generous and the local area offers a great selection of choice wines and other delicacies.
Well behaved are made welcome by mine host, Ted Nettelton with whom you should discuss bringing your pets before booking. Dogs are permitted inside with approval. Due to the fact the property is on large unfenced acreage, dogs may need to be supervised when outside without a leash.
DAA comment: Delightful, serene and unspoilt.

Built in 1865, Bluey’s heritage listed cottage accommodates up to two people in an olde world romantic setting. The cottage is located beside the original blacksmith shop which is now a museum.
However, hidden away at the rear of the cottage is the Barn that supplies rustic accommodation for up to six people. Well behaved dogs are also welcome at the manager’s discretion.
The accommodation is set at the base of Mount Remarkable and offers a large garden and a BBQ area in which to enjoy dining in a very relaxed atmosphere. Beverages and light meals are offered in the coffee shop located in the blacksmith shop.
DAA comment: A rustic and relaxing B&B in a spectacular location.

Wellington is a small, friendly and privately operated caravan park with a garden-like setting featuring lush green lawn and shady trees. Situated on the river Murray, the park boarders the Murraylands, Mallee and Coorong regions.
While the facilities are older style, they are kept immaculately clean by the owners.
Dogs are permitted by arrangement and can enjoy the freedom of the riverbank.
DAA comment: A peaceful setting for those wishing to escape the city.

Located in a leafy Adelaide suburb, Windsor Caravan Park is built alongside the River Torrens and adjoins Linear Park in a quiet setting with an abundance of birdlife. Dogs can enjoy walking in this extensive park, but must be kept on a leash.
The facilities are kept neat and clean and the laundry is substantial. Has disabled facilities.
The owners term it “A friendly park for friendly dogs ( friendly owners welcome too)”.
DAA comment: One of the few caravan parks in Adelaide that is dog friendly.

The Opal Inn Caravan Park is located behind the motel units and features gravel sites. All sites have power and sullage but no water connections. There is a clean modern, spacious ablutions block, but due to water restrictions, the showers are coin operated. There is also an on-site laundry with washers and dryers.
The park has a shaded barbecue area and a grassed camping area and room for your dogs to exercise on leads.
The Opal Inn also features a bar and restaurant serving good standard pub meals.
DAA comment: Opal Inn Caravan Park is located close to opal shops and other facilities.

Set in Angaston, one of the prettiest townships in the Barossa, Fig Tree Cottage is a restored stone cottage built by early settlers in the 1840's. The two bedroom cottage has a double and a twin bedroom, a cosy lounge room with an open fire place and a well-stocked kitchen containing fresh eggs, double-smoked bacon, Barossa-baked bread, homemade jams and marmalade as well as fresh fruit and orange juice.
In the bathroom, you can soak away your problems in an old-style claw-footed bath. The spacious garden features an ancient fig tree and an entertainment area.
Dogs are permitted inside by arrangement.
DAA comment: The open fire on a cold night is most comforting for people as well as spoilt Chihuahuas

The delightful little town of Crystal Brook is set amidst large, ancient gum trees, while the caravan park is located alongside the brook.
The park’s main attraction is the large, well-shaded sites set in a peaceful bush setting. Children have room to play and dogs, on leashes, will also get enough exercise. Dogs are permitted, by prior arrangement, in their own van but not in the cabins. The Brook is only 600 meters from the main street where there is located shops and hotels.
The amenities block is in the older style, but clean.
DAA comment: A peaceful park with for room dogs and children to play.

Norma’s Place in Tanunda is a charming early settler’s cottage (c1850s) right in the heart of the Barossa Valley.
The cottage is furnished with memorabilia reflecting its history. The main bedroom is decorated to create a romantic mood while the sleep out contains two comfortable single beds. The bathroom features an antique claw bath in which to relax and unwind. Bath robes and toiletries are provided The cottage offers a home away from home with generous provisions, including fresh eggs from the chook house as well as complimentary port/sherry and other treats. The garden is very peaceful and serene and has many fruit trees, providing guests with a wonderful place to BBQ or to just sit quietly and watch the birds flitter about in the old fig tree.
