Puppy Vaccination Timetable

If you have just adopted a pound dog or have bought a dog from shop, newspaper or elsewhere and haven’t sighted his or her vaccination certificate, you will need to discuss this with your vet immediately.

The C3 vaccine is the minimum vaccination your dog needs.

  • Canine Parvovirus
  • Canine Distemper
  • Canine Hepatitis
Vaccinating against Kennel Cough  is also recommended as puppy pre-schools are unlikely to accept pups that have not been vaccinated.
Rescue Shelters ensure their dogs are C3 vaccinated before being offered for adoption.

The best protection you can offer your dog, according to the Australian Veterinary Association, is a full course of C3 vaccinations, then a booster the following year followed by triennial (3 yearly)  boosters (unless otherwise indicated).

A yearly Kennel Cough vaccination is recommended by the AVA.
