Glenfield Road Animal Shelter (GRAS) is a facility operated by Wagga Wagga City Council for housing lost, stray or dumped Companion Animals. The animal shelter has the capacity to house 24 dogs and 20 cats at any one time.

Hawkesbury Pound works with several Rescue Shelters to rescue, rehabilitate; rehome pound dogs; cats. All dogs are C3 vaccinated upon arrival at the pound and wormed, most are also flea treated. Animals are available for adoption from the pound as well.
